Indian passport photos depend on the application location
Passport Sevaโs application booklet says a pasted photograph is not required for ordinary applications at PSK or POPSK. Where another collection method requires a physical photograph, the booklet specifies a 45 ร 35 mm colour photograph. Check exceptions and your appointment instructions, including requirements for young children.

What this preset actually prepares
The configured preset is 35 mm wide by 45 mm high, with a 630 ร 810 pixel output. This is a tool setting, not a verified universal digital requirement. Requirements for overseas submissions must be checked with the mission or application office. We have not verified a universal 250 KB limit, face-percentage rule, or automatic rejection tolerance for all Indian passport applications.
Passport and OCI photographs differ
The official OCI FAQ requires a square image between 200 ร 200 and 900 ร 900 pixels, with a maximum file size of 200 KB. Do not use this rectangular passport preset as an OCI specification. See the India document comparison guide.
