Chile visa photos: identify the portal before preparing a file

A temporary stay and a temporary residence application are different workflows. Use this PixPassVisa guide to identify the photo request in your application instead of relying on a generic Chile passport crop.

Temporary residence: the SERMIG photo request

SERMIG’s temporary residence guidance requests a recent colour photograph on a white background, facing the camera with the full face visible, a neutral expression and open eyes. It specifies JPG or PNG and no accessories such as glasses or a hat.

That page does not establish one pixel size or file-weight limit for every Chilean visa process. Read the requirements shown in your selected application before exporting.

Temporary stay is a separate route

SERMIG’s temporary-stay information directs applicants who need prior authorization to the consular application system. Do not treat a temporary-residence checklist as a complete consular visa checklist. Start with the appropriate official route and the instructions for your application.

Do not confuse two different images

A scanned passport identification page and a portrait photograph serve different purposes. SERMIG lists them separately in its residence requirements. Upload the requested item in the correct field rather than extracting a portrait from a passport scan.

Prepare a file you can verify

Keep the original camera image, then note the format, pixel limits and file size stated by the portal. After exporting, reopen the file to confirm it is readable, correctly oriented and the intended photograph. Keep its filename distinct from scanned supporting documents.

PixPassVisa does not currently have a separate Chile visa preset, so we do not send you to another country’s editor as a substitute. This page provides route and upload guidance; it does not promise visa acceptance or submit an application.
