Use the instructions for your visa application
Start with the documents requested for your application in ImmiAccount and any instructions from the office handling your case. See Home Affairs: applying online in ImmiAccount. We have not verified a single photograph size, file limit, or editing policy that applies to every Australian visa subclass.
Visa, passport, and citizenship photos are different workflows
The Australian Passport Office photo guidance concerns passports. It must not automatically be used as a visa specification. Citizenship has its own Home Affairs photo instructions, including an unedited-image requirement. A passport preset does not certify a visa or citizenship photo.
What to confirm before preparing a file
- Your visa subclass and whether a separate photograph is requested.
- Whether the photo is uploaded, printed, or captured at an appointment.
- The required dimensions, format, file size, photo age, and background.
- Whether cropping, compression, or background changes are allowed.
If instructions are unclear, ask the application office before editing or buying a photo. We cannot substantiate claims that a tiny size difference always causes automatic rejection, or that background replacement is permitted for all visa applications.
What this service currently offers
PixPassVisa provides free automated checks and previews. Processed downloads require a one-time payment at the price shown before checkout. A complete processed download is not advertised here as free.
The country-editor configuration currently contains an Australian passport preset, not a separate Australian visa preset. See Australia visa guidance and preset limitations. Use the Australian passport checker for the passport workflow only, and check the official requirements before submitting.
Sources and local tool configuration reviewed 6 October 2026. Application-specific visa measurements remain unverified. Automated feedback and paid downloads do not guarantee government acceptance.
Avoid Passport & Visa Photo Rejections
Our automatic tool can prepare common crops and formats (such as 2x2" or 35x45mm) for review. Always compare the result with your issuing authority's current rules.
